
Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIAE) enthusiastically celebrated the 66th edition of the SXM's Day, on November 11, by combining sport, culture and conviviality.
The day began at dawn with the participation of a official team of the PJIAE in the traditional relay race around the islandThis was a first for the airport, which wanted to demonstrate its commitment to the community and promote team spirit.
The festivities then continued in the terminal, where passengers and employees were greeted by johnny cakes freshly prepared, to the sound of melodies of steel panHostesses dressed in traditional costumes offered a warm welcome, transforming the airport into a true space for cultural sharing.
The event, coordinated by Devon Skeete from the sales department, was organized by the team of the corporate communicationkeen to create a festive and memorable atmosphere. “It is always a pleasure to showcase our traditions and share the warmth of Saint-Martin with our visitors,” said the communications department.
True to its motto of “friendly island”, Sint Maarten Airport intends to continue promoting the cultural identity of Saint-Martin and strengthening the links between its staff, travelers and the local population.
