This concrete intervention makes echo of the night navigation exercise led a few days earlier by the station. On December 9th, the team had indeed achieved a comprehensive night training, designed to strengthen their automatic responses in degraded conditions.Preparation of specific equipment, meticulous adjustment of electronic equipment to preserve the night vision, simulations of breakdowns, emergency anchoring and man overboard: each maneuver aimed to closely resemble real-life situations.
Navigation without visibility, searching for disabled ships in the dark, and the use of radar near the coast have all been worked on with precision. These are all actions repeated in training that take on their full meaning during interventions, day and night.. _Vx
