The Women’s House of Saint-Martin France Travail and France Travail signed a partnership agreement, on the occasion of the visit of its CEO, Thibaut Guilluy. Objective: Strengthen support for women victims of violence in their journey to employmentby addressing social, psychological and professional barriers.
On site, the existing system was presented: multidisciplinary support, filing and monitoring of complaints with the gendarmerie, rehabilitation workshops, and artistic activities. An employment counselor already works within the organization to help beneficiaries to regain confidence and reclaim ownership of their journeySeveral women have thus been able to find employment, despite trajectories often marked by violence and precariousness.
Comprehensive support to remove obstacles
The convention aims to to structure and strengthen this dynamic, with the implementation of workshops, company immersions, follow-up with an occupational psychologist and awareness-raising actions for France Travail agents to better detect situations of violence.
“Some women are already registered, but Their situation is not always identified.“We need to improve our identification,” stressed Thibaut Guilluy, who emphasized a multidisciplinary approach adapted to the realities of the territory and a better support“This is just the beginning.” Two monthly office hours will be provided at the Women’s Center, with a work psychologist and a dedicated support worker. “We are sometimes helpless in the face of these situations; this partnership is essential to move forward hand in hand,” emphasizes the local director, Keezy Pierre-Justin. Presented as a long-term partnership, this initiative aims to create a genuine local network to provide sustained support to women in their recovery, professional integration, and empowerment.
