During the holiday season, the National Police of Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin launches second edition of its Christmas competition “Speak up for the National Police”, open to children and young people under 18.
Building on the success of the first edition, which saw 10-year-old Manell win the competition thanks to a drawing that was widely praised on social media, The event returns with the same spirit: to allow young people to convey a positive, preventative, or simply sincere message to the local police..
The principle is simple. In a maximum of twenty seconds, each participant is invited to answer a direct question: “If you had to express yourself to send a message to the police officers of the National Police of Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, what would you say to them?”. The format is entirely free, leaving room for imagination, whether it is a video or audio message, a song, a dance, a poem, a commented drawing or an illustrated photo.
The creations, sent by email to communicationdtpn971@gmail.comwill be published on the official X and Facebook accounts of the Guadeloupe National Police. special creativity prize will reward the post that has received the most “likes”, with the counters being stopped on December 25th inclusive.
Beyond the competition, the goal is to give young people a voice using media they use every day and to strengthen a simple and supportive bond of trust between youth and the National Police during the Christmas period.
