
True to its commitment to young people, the association A light for the islands has once again contributed to bringing the magic of Christmas to the schools of Saint-Martin. Led by its founder Lydia LawrenceThe association, which is celebrating its seventh anniversary this year, has conducted a large-scale gift distribution operation for the benefit of the children in the area.
During this solidarity tour, several schools were involved. Orleans districtThe students of Jean Anselme school received 176 giftsprovoking smiles and wonder in the schoolyard. Grand CaseThe distribution took place at the Émile Choisy school, where 80 present were offered. The children had prepared a show to welcome Lydia LawrenceIn the presence of, among others, the third vice-president of the Collectivity, Dominique Démocrite Louisy, who emphasized the institutional and human nature of this initiative. Sandy Ground Finally, the Jérôme Beaupère school benefited from 200 giftsallowing many children to experience a festive and warm moment.
Every December, Lydia Lawrence returns to her beloved territory to lead these solidarity actionswith the aim of ensuring that no child misses out on the holiday season.
