
Le Leo Club Safari kicked off the 5th edition of the Wishing Tree, right in the heart of the West Indies Mall. Around the large decorated Christmas tree, the young volunteers launched this solidarity operation with a Sang Nwelinstantly creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
The principle of the Wishing Tree is intentionally accessible: 1 angel = 1 giftEach angel hanging on the tree represents a child. Passersby are invited to choose one of these little figures, discover the name and age of the child it symbolizes, and become their godparent. Then, simply buy a gift and bring it to the Leo Club Safari before [date missing]. 21 DecemberThe gift will be presented at the final distribution, a festive moment marking the culmination of the project. This year, 38 children, aged 3 months to 10 yearsThose concerned include: children from Quartier d’Orléans, those followed by the Maternal and Child Health (PMI) ou Alefpa-The Coat.
The project, conceived and led by the Leo Club Safari with the support of West Indies Mall, is based on a simple idea: to allow everyone to make a concrete gesture towards a vulnerable childThe decorative angels, handmade by the club’s young members, thus become a direct link between a child and a donor. A small symbol that the donor can even keep to hang on their own Christmas tree, as a memento of this good deed that will bring joy to the eyes of the island’s most vulnerable children.
