The RN7 will vibrate again under acceleration: the SXM Drag Race, organized by the Moto Action Association of the North, returns on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November. The runs will begin on Sunday at 7am, on the exceptionally closed section of road between the car wash and the Hope Estate exit.
This year, participants will be able to… official tests starting Saturday, in parallel with the mandatory technical inspection. Five categories will be competing Pro stock, street bike, T-max, quad and scooter. Not forgetting the… a change. A road safety village will be set up on Sunday in the Super U parking lot, with demonstrations, simulators and activities conducted alongside the SXM Road Safety Association. Access is free.
The weekend will also be marked by a tribute to the Guadeloupean pilot Julien Lemarchand, the 2024 Street Bike winner, tragically passed away last July. A minute of silence will be dedicated to him before the start of the races.
Attention, motorists! This section of the RN7 will be closed on Saturday from 14 p.m. to 16 p.m., then on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 16 p.m., with a detour via the Route de l’Espérance. Organizers urge everyone to exercise caution and follow the instructions.
