GREAT BAY--Ten hotels and resorts across St. Maarten and Saint Martin have been nominated in Caribbean Journal’s Best Hotels in the Caribbean 2026 awards, giving residents, visitors and supporters an opportunity to vote for their preferred property.

Public voting opened on June 30 and will continue through September 30, 2026. The nominees were selected by Caribbean Journal’s editorial team based on its coverage of hotels and resorts across the region.

The nominated properties are:

St. Maarten

  • Sonesta Ocean Point Resort
  • Sonesta Maho Beach Resort
  • The Morgan Resort & Spa
  • Simpson Bay Resort, Marina & Spa
  • JW Marriott St. Maarten Beach Resort & Spa

Saint Martin

  • La Samanna, A Belmond Hotel
  • Grand Case Beach Club
  • Palm Court Residence & Hotel
  • LTC Hôtel La Plage
  • La Plantation

The voting category highlights the island’s combined hospitality product, with five nominated properties on each side.

The inclusion of ten hotels and resorts offers an opportunity to strengthen regional and international recognition for the destination, its tourism sector and the hospitality workers who support the industry.

Voting is organized by destination, with readers invited to select the hotel they believe best represents the quality of accommodation and service available across St. Maarten and Saint Martin.
