SINT MAARTEN (PHILIPSBURG) – On Thursday 1st August the KPSM (Sint Maarten Police Force) welcomed 22 children, between the ages of 3-15, from the Creative Learning After School program to the station for a visit, police said on Thursday.

The energetic group of students got a firsthand guided tour of the station by Community Police Officer (CPO) Helen Romeo. They were able to visit with the different departments and asked as many questions as their inquisitive minds could come up with, the police statement said.

The students were able to visit and hear firsthand descriptions from departments such as the detective, IT, communication, watch commander as well the new camera surveillance centre.

At the end of the tour when CPO Romeo asked the kids who would like to become an officer in the future several hands shot up in the air with enthusiasm.

The KPSM department would like to thank the Creative Learning After School program for the visit to the station and we look forward to several applications in the future from all the kids who will be grown up, the police statement concludes. (Sint Maarten Police Force)
