36-Year old Violent passenger removed from Delta Airlines Aircraft fined $500 | SOUALIGA NEWSDAY

SINT MAARTEN (SIMPSON BAY-AIRPORT) – On Sunday May 5th at approximately 3.00 p.m. members of the Alpha Team stationed at the Princess Juliana International Airport were called on board of a Delta Airline aircraft which was preparing to depart to Atlanta Georgia, to intervene in a matter involving a passenger that was behaving very aggressive, police announced on Monday in a media statement.

On the scene the officers located the male suspect identified with initials A.S. (36) of American nationality. The captain of the aircraft refused to allow the suspect to take that flight to Atlanta and requested his removal from the aircraft.

The suspect was severely under the influence of alcohol and refused to disembark at which time he was removed by the officers using minimal force. The suspect was taken to the Philipsburg Police Headquarters to sober-up.

The suspect was given a fine of U.S. $500,- and is waiting until arrangements are made for his deportation. (Sint Maarten Police Force)
