SAINT MARTIN (MARIGOT) – The analyses carried out by the laboratory approved by the ARS confirm that the Saint Martin water now meets the criteria of the public health code, a press statement from Service Communication of the Prefecture of Saint Barths and Saint Martin.
The statement which was translated from French to English says: Bromate rates are below regulatory and detectable thresholds. The water has thus become drinkable again, thanks to the joint work carried out by the EEASM, the ARS, the Community (Ed Collectivite) and the Prefecture.”
With this information, it was recommended to lift the ban on the consumption of potable water.
