The unique opportunity is part of the Supervisory Board and Executive Director initiative in giving back to the business community after the experience of Irma and Maria in September 2017, to stimulate business activity and innovation in a challenging economic environment.

COCI is celebrating its 40thanniversary this year and this initiative is part of the Chamber’s inclusion campaign to get registered businesses more involved in such initiatives.

The selected business owner will be part of Team Sint Maarten that would include Port St. Maarten, representatives from the St. Maarten Tourist Bureau and COCI, who will be at the Sint Maarten booth showcasing the latest destination developments.

In order to be selected for the aforementioned, a locally registered business will have to pitch themselves in order to qualify.  The campaign is open to all businesses that would benefit from attending the cruise conference.

The winning business will receive a round-trip ticket to Miami, hotel accommodations, and a daily allowance and SeatradeCruiseGlobal conference pass.

The person representing the business must be able to travel to the USA from April 7 to April 12, 2019; the business must be on good standing at COCI where their annual dues are concerned; must have marketing material that they can distribute at the cruise conference.

The business owner must submit 90 seconds or less video why this business should be chosen and how this opportunity would benefit their business.

The business owner must also submit a one-page biography of their business (history, type of business, current situation and future plans for the business); and must include contact information of the business owner.

The deadline to submit the aforementioned is Monday, March 25, 2019 at 1.00pm.  All information should be submitted by email to: .

The winner will be announced on March 28, 2019.

Any businesses interested in attending the cruise conference at their own expense can also inquire about conference passes which COCI has available.
