SINT MAARTEN (PHILIPSBURG) – Dion Wright-Nelson and Jeffery Tribble Jr. arrived on Sint Maarten Sunday October 6th to conduct a weeklong Band intensive exclusively for members of Generation New Status STM Drum band.
Both gentlemen worked with the band during Generation New Status STM’s cultural exchange trip to Washington D.C in 2015 in partnership with The Musicianship®, a non-profit organization based in Washington that facilitates music lessons, experiences, and opportunities for nearly 1600 youth.
The band members are looking forward to the workshop and Coach Youmay Dormoy, Generation New Status STM Band leader is pleased to offer this training to his band members. “We continue to elevate our band and we look forward to holding more workshops and band camps in the future”. The Musicianship® has expressed a desire to work with us and we are very excited to partner with them on future projects, Coach Youmay stated.
The band camp will be conducted for during the midterm school break and will be held from Monday October 7th and end with a performance at MAHO on Friday October 11th. Generation New Status STM will like to thank the sponsors of this Band Intensive for their support: Holland House Beach Hotel, Shep Sheppard and MAHO group of Companies, Coaches Debbie Milton and Marisol Wilson, Ari Sutton of Art Saves Lives Foundation, Parents and Band members.
