SINT MAARTEN (HARBOUR VIEW) – On Monday April 3, 2019, the Governor of Sint Maarten, His Excellency drs. E. B. Holiday, administered the oath of office to Jules James, who will be deputizing as Member of Parliament (MP), the Governor’s Cabinet said in a press statement on Wednesday evening.
“Governor Holiday underscored the importance of working together to foster the wellbeing of the people of Sint Maarten and wished Mr. James strength and wisdom in the fulfillment of his responsibilities,” the Governor’s Cabinet statement concludes.
Jules James ran as a candidate in the February 2018 parliamentary elections on the United Democrats (UD) party slate. With the swearing in ceremony on Wednesday, James returns to the House of Parliament after having served as an MP for a number of years.
