SINT MAARTEN/CURACAO – Starting August 27, the U.S. Coast Guard will temporarily relocate Coast Guard Surface Action Group vessels from Puerto Rico to Curacao related to the predicted path of Tropical Storm Dorian, the U.S. Consulate in Willemstad, Curacao said in a statement on Tuesday.
As many as nine vessels might relocate to Curacao until the weather permits their return to normal duties. The U.S. government expresses its appreciation to the government of Curacao for its assistance in this matter. Our thoughts are with the people who reside in the path of Tropical Storm Dorian, the U.S. Consulate statement concludes.
