Police Force says farewell to Commander Sebastien Manzoni | SOUALIGA NEWSDAY

SINT MAARTEN (PHILIPSBURG) – On Tuesday July 30th the Minister of Justice the Honorable Cornelius DeWeever in the presence of the Police Chief Carl John and the Management-team said farewell Sebastien Manzoni Commander of the Gendarmes on the French Side of the island.

Commander Manzoni who will be leaving the island in early August has been working on Saint Martin since 2015 and since that time has formed a very close working relationship with the authorities on the Dutch Side.

The working cooperation between the two sides since 2015 has seen a major improvement.

As a token of appreciation, a luncheon was organized for Commander Manzoni at “Sheers” restaurant located on Front Street. Also, a plaque was presented to Manzoni honoring him for the work he has done and cooperation he has given over this four-year period.

Minister DeWeever and Chief John thanked Manzoni for his contribution to the island and wished him much success in the future. (Sint Maarten Police Force)
