SINT MAARTEN (SUCKER GARDEN) – Richinel Brug has again come to the aid of another nonprofit organization. This time his focus is on the United Super Stars football club of Sucker Garden.
The club has been in existence since 2007. In April of this year the club elected a new board consisting of Stanley York as President, Vice-President is Leonidas Friday, Lourens Efrich as treasurer, General Secretary is Deshawn York, Eugene Heyliger as director and the public relations officer is Shirley Hilaire.
The newly installed board has as its main focus the development of football among the youth in the Sucker Garden area and to afford them the opportunity to have educational sports programs which will
help to mold them into more productive citizens.
Richinel Brug, continues to contribute to his community since his return to the island from studying abroad. He is a member of the Voluntary Corps of St. Maarten (VKS), the founder of the St. Maarten Food Bank that provides meals to less fortunate persons and families and is a volunteer self-defense instructor for adults and children.
“I believe that the educational sports program that Stanley York and his board are embarking on will bring about the much-needed guidance and discipline to the youth in the Sucker Garden community.
I want to see others, individuals as well as businesses, get involved and contribute to such programs”, Brug was quoted, and pledged to continue supporting such worthy programs in the future.
