Sam Bashir, Tony Lake and Brigitte Devaux group wins three person’s scramble | SOUALIGA NEWSDAY

SINT MAARTEN (MULLET BAY) – Sam Bashir, Tony Lake and Brigitte Devaux took top honors during the annual three person’s team scramble at the Mullet Bay Golf Course. This event organized by the St. Maarten Golf Association SMGA drew 13 teams of three golfers to the course.

On a golf course that’s getting into shape after hurricane Irma with a revived St. Maarten Golf Association proud to host the event, the 13 teams fought a very close and competitive battle. Between the winners and the team that came in last, was only a 13-stroke difference.

Eventually the Winners shot a stunning 66 stroke net score. Runner’s up were team Keith Graham, Gitte Poulsen and Frank Jespersen with a score of 68 net. This time it was Didier Kerfourn, Marie Gibbons and Stephane Legendre who won 3rd place with a score of 68 net as well, but with a lower handicap.

The next tournament organized by the SMGA will be the St. Maarten Open 2019, which will take place on April 6th and 7th.
