PHILIPSBURG:— Scores of Police and Forensic are in South Reward investigating a shooting by police. SMN News learned that Arrindell was shot at a house in the Reward area.
According to information reaching SMN News states that Arrindell and his sister were having some problems over their parent’s home and one of the relatives called police who saw Arrindell with a knife on the upper floor. They said that Arrindell is intoxicated and police ordered him to come downstairs where they were and when he did not comply, police fired shots at Arrindell and hit him in the leg area.
SMN News learned that police fired at least three shots at Vernon Arrindell. It is not yet known how serious injuries Arrindell sustained. Police Spokesman Ricardo Henson confirmed that police shot Arrindell in his leg and he was transported to the St. Maarten Medical Center for treatment. Henson said Arrindell was shot in the leg area and he is in stable condition.
