PHILIPSBURG:— During the recent visit of District Governor Patrick Adizua, food hampers were delivered with The Rotary Club of St. Maarten-Mid Isle, bringing smiles and Christmas cheer to those less fortunate in the community. The baskets were given out to persons at The Anglican Church, The Bishop Ellis foundation and Social Services. The baskets contained various food items, toiletries, paper products, and Christmas treats. Also given were food items to The Community Outreach Mentorship and Empowerment Center (COME Center) for their soup kitchen. Mid-Isle also donated to The COME Center items requested to help them with food hampers for their seniors.
These hampers were made possible by people in the community who donated items when Mid-Isle held food drives at Cost Pro and Cost-U-less and the Rotarians of Mid-Isle. Mid-Isle would like to thank all of those that made these hampers possible.
