PHILIPSBURG:---The Emergency dispatch received a call at approximately 10:00 am on Thursday, February 7th in connection with a possible burglary in progress at a beach house located on Rhine road. Immediately police patrols were sent to the scene to investigate the situation. When the patrols arrived on the scene they met the door to the home already opened and noticed that the home had been searched. After a thorough search of the house, the intruder was found hiding under the bed in one of the bedrooms. He was detained by the officers and placed under arrest. No items have been reported missing from the home at this time; however, the investigation is currently ongoing.
