PHILIPSBURG:---The Camera Surveillance Center which was long awaited on Sint Maarten will go live this coming Friday, February 1st. The Camera Surveillance Center is managed by the Emergency Dispatch Center under the responsibility of KPSM.
Camera Surveillance has been implemented on Sint Maarten due to the very active and growing economy and growing population. This purpose of this of type of surveillance is for the maintenance of public order and safety within the community. It is required by law that the community be informed when they are in an area which is monitored by the Camera Surveillance Center.
