PHILIPSBURG:---The Inspectorate VSA of Sint Maarten and the Inspectorate of Health of Aruba signed a collaboration agreement on the 3rd of June at the Health Care Conference Aruba in the presence of Ministers Emile Lee from Sint Maarten and Dr. Alex Schwengle from Aruba.The Inspectorate VSA has established in 2010 and the Inspectorate of Health Aruba in January 2017. Discussions on collaboration had started in May 2015 during the first Health Care Conference in Aruba.
Exchange of expertise and information including manpower in special cases are the primary focus of the collaboration. Furthermore, special collaboration projects will take place such as the development of inspection tools and norms, registration of pharmaceuticals and joint training. In the near future, the collaboration will be expanded with food safety and drinking water.
Both Inspectorates also have a collaboration agreement in place with the Inspectorate of the Netherlands.
