PHILIPSBURG:--- St. Maarten's business community will soon meet a new avenue for small business loans with the opening of Qredits Microfinance. After months of hard work by the Ministry of TEATT, via the Department of Economy, Transportation, and Telecommunication (ETT), Qredits will soon be opening its doors to the business community of St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius. With the opening of this new microfinance agency, small businesses on will have access to credit outside of the traditional commercial banks. Presently work is underway at Qredits' future office at the Miss Lalie Commercial Complex, with the final construction work being completed with the assistance of the complex owner and contractor. The loan agency expects to have furniture and hardware in the coming days to welcome clients. The result of months of research by ETT and communication between the two organizations, the opening of Qredits Microfinance brings to life the Ministry’s commitment to facilitate small business development on multiple fronts.
