WILLEMSTAD:— By ministerial decision of 9 November 2016, the Advent Hospital received permission from the Minister of GMN to open a dialysis center, under a number of explicitly stated conditions contained in this decision. In addition, the Ministerial Decree (December 2015) also included a number of conditions for the quality of care and patient safety when using Damacor.
The Health Care Inspectorate observes that the conditions set by the minister and which provide the preconditions for qualitatively responsible and safe care to date have not been met or have not been met sufficiently. In view of the special expertise and safety measures required for renal dialysis, it is also unlikely that this will be the case in the foreseeable future.
It is the responsibility of the Health Care Inspectorate to prevent patients from being compromised on insufficient quality and safety and for this reason, she has given this instruction.
For any questions, please contact Mr. G.A. Rodrigues Pereira, Health Inspector, on telephone number 6867679.
