PHILIPSBURG:— Former Member of Parliament and executive assistant the former Leader of the United Democrats (UD) has been appointed the head of the Department of Communications (DCOMM).
SMN News understands that Lake was appointed effective April 1st, 2019. Maurice Lake a former MP, and executive assistant to suspended MP Theodore Heyliger is also a civil servant that had to get back into the civil service.
Prior to the appointment, Lake was working as a consultant to the management team of GEBE. Lake also ran as a candidate on the United Democrats slate in the February 2018 snap elections.
