EXCLUSIVE: PJIAE CFO to submit letter of resignation to work as Consultant for Curacao’s Government.

PHILIPSBURG: — Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Princess Juliana International Airport Ravi Daryanani is expected to submit his letter of resignation today (Friday) during a Supervisory Board meeting. The meeting is scheduled for 1pm on Friday, February 1st, 2019.

Daryanani who took leave of absence from his job just over a year after he was appointed citing that he returning to Curacao to care for personal matters, however, SMN News learned prior to Daryanani’s departure that he was not returning to St. Maarten, a well-placed source said that Daryanani had shipped his boat and other household furniture prior to leaving St. Maarten.

Sometime last week the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of PJIAE Brian Mingo penned Daryanani an email requesting more information on his “leave of absence” but it is understood that Daryanani referred Mingo to the Board of Director’s since both the Holding and Operating Company approved his 2 months leave of absence with the option to extend it by a third month.

In an invited comment Daryanani confirmed that he will be submitting his letter of resignation to the Board of Directors today Friday during a board meeting. He said that this is something he has been thinking about for quite sometime since he does have urgent family matters to attend to in Curacao. Daryanani further confirmed that he has been in talks with the Government of Curacao his he plans to work for the Ministry of Finance as a consultant.

Daryanani worked as the Head of Finance for the Government of St. Maarten for a period of six years. He said he wishes PJIAE all the best as it strives to rebuild.
