PHILIPSBURG:--- Postal workers especially the mailmen to date are working in a very deplorable condition in the damaged PSS building. The mailmen are working in a mold infested building while residents that are paying annual fees for the mailboxes have to also risk their health when picking mails in the unsanitary building that is still open to the general public.
Currently, security guards are also stationed in the same building. 15 months after the passing of hurricane Irma Prime Minister Leona Romeo Marlin have not found any solution for the repairs of PSS since the building was not insured. More disturbing is that the Prime Minister did not see it fit to have the building cleaned up knowing workers are risking their health and lives to work in such unsanitary conditions but was able to threaten the workers to lay them off when they were not reporting to work.
