~ Discussions to continue on Wednesday at Extraordinary Shareholder’s meeting on Wednesday.~
PHILIPSBURG:— Two Managers from Royal Schipol Group (RSG) representatives of BZK, the Ministry of Interior Affairs, along with the Council of Ministers met with representatives Princess Juliana International Holding and Operational Company along with its management team on Tuesday.
The meeting which was considered as an introductory meeting also included the support staff of the Council of Ministers. The only Minister that did not attend the meeting was Minister of VROMI Miklos Giterson.
SMN News understands that the meeting will continue on Wednesday where Prime Minister Leona Romeo Marlin will make full disclosure as to what she agreed to when she negotiated with the Dutch to secure the $100M from the World Bank and European Investment Bank.
Already representatives from PJIAH and PJIAE were informed on Tuesday that unless they sign off on to the agreement the $15M bridge loan PJIAE requested will not be forthcoming even though PJIAE received $5M on Friday.
If the agreement is sealed during the meetings this week then a team of technical assistants from Royal Schipol Group (RSG) will be visiting St. Maarten as early as next week to begin a round of talks with Management of PJIAE as well as the Human Resource managers. SMN News further learned that these interviews is expected to set the tone as to how RSG will assist PJIAE in its recovery and reconstruction.
