Bonaire:--- The Public Prosecutor’s Office (OM) BES on Bonaire has issued a settlement proposal for a total amount of 17,500 USD dollars for a couple of companies on Bonaire. These companies had foreigners at work without the valid permits. The violations were confirmed by the Labor Inspection in an official report that was drawn up. The majority of the companies had already been warned about earlier violations. The Labor Inspection and the Public Prosecutor’s Office are acting strictly against this in order to prevent displacement of local labor supply, false competition and the exploitation of foreign nationals.

If payment is made no further prosecution against the companies will take place.
