Willemstad/ PHILIPSBURG:--- The Court of Justice will treat the extradition of Francesco Corallo (Italy, 1960) to Italy on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017 at 14:00 hours.
The court case will be thru video-conference. Mr. Corallo will be in Court in Philipsburg and the members of the Court of Appeal and the Solicitor-general for the Public Prosecutors Office in Willemstad.

Corallo was arrested on December 13th, 2016 by the TBO team. At the time house searches were conducted. The prosecutor’s office stated on December 13th that Corallo will be prosecuted in Italy among other things for tax evasion and bribery of several politicians. Corallo is also suspected in Italy for using his businesses for money laundering.
Ever since then Corallo is held in a police cell pending his extradition. It should also be noted that the father of the younger Corallo filed a court case against him here on St. Maarten.
