PHILIPSBURG:--- The Managing Board of NV GEBE, based on an article published on SMN Network on June 11, 2017, regarding the utility company, informed its staff on Tuesday morning, through a global announcement, that it could not, nor would it verify that any such “discussions” took place during the Saturday, convened meeting as these discussions did not take place during the meeting of the Supervisory Board of Directors and the Managing Board.
The announcement, signed by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kenrick Chittick, also refuted the statement made by the publisher of the SMN Network that a member of the Managing Board had confirmed that the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Directors was also present in a meeting they had attended with the Minister of Public Health, Social Development & Labor.
The CEO informed the workers that he, along with the other members of the Managing Board, remain faithful and loyal to NV GEBE and distances itself from “the outpouring of internal information” to SMN Network and any other media outlet. The Managing Board reassured the employees that any press release issued by the company to the media will always be clearly defined as such.
