Udo Aaron and Erling Hoeve arrested
PHILIPSBURG:--- Detectives are busy conducting a house search at the home of an immigration officer identified as Erling Hoeve. The search is in relation to the Robalo investigation that involves the former head of IND Udo Aron. The spokesman for the prosecutor Gino Bernadina confirmed that a house search is currently taking place on the Robalo investigation. Bernadina said he could not say if arrests have been made. SMN News will update this article later today.
House search and arrests in “Robalo”-investigation
In connection with the criminal investigation code-named “Robalo” the suspects E.L.A.H (37) and U.G.A. (55) were arrested on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. A search led by the Judge of Instruction and a Prosecutor was also conducted at E.L.A.H.’s home. Important documents, digital data carriers, and telephones were confiscated.
On August 10, 2016, a search had already taken place at U.G.A.’s home in connection with this same investigation. Robalo is the investigation into suspected human smuggling committed on May 5, 2016, and other criminal offenses related thereto which started in May 2016 under the authority of the Prosecutor's Office and is being carried out by the National Detective Agency (Landsrecherche).
The investigation is in full swing and possibly more arrests cannot be excluded.
Huiszoeking en aanhoudingen in onderzoek Robalo
In verband met het strafrechtelijk onderzoek Robalo zijn op Woensdag 19 april 2017 de verdachten E.L.A.H. (37) en U.G.A. (55) aangehouden. Ook heeft er onder leiding van de Rechter Commissaris en de Officier van Justitie een zoeking plaatsgevonden in het huis van E.L.A.H. Belangrijke documenten, digitale gegevensdragers en mobiele telefoons zijn in beslag genomen.
Op 10 augustus 2016 heeft in verband met hetzelfde onderzoek ook een zoeking plaatsgevonden in het huis van U.G.A. Robalo is het onderzoek naar verdenkingen van mensensmokkel gepleegd op 5 mei 2016 en andere strafbare feiten die hier betrekking op hebben. Het onderzoek werd in mei 2016 opgestart door de Landrecherche onder leiding van het Openbaar Ministerie.
Het onderzoek duurt voort en meer aanhoudingen zijn niet uit te sluiten.
