Suspects in the MARS investigation, K.S. and T.F., were tried in court today, Wednesday, May 15th, 2019. They are being held responsible for the murder of two young men Sarante Diaz and Rosario Contreras on December 5th, 2016. Their bodies were discovered in the Belair lagoon on August 1st, 2017.

The MARS investigation was started subsequent to a missing person report filed. Both victims were last seen alive on December 5th, 2016. As the investigation progressed one of the suspects directed detectives to the location where the bodies were dumped. The investigation also revealed that the two
