PHILIPSBURG:--- Minister of Tourism & Economic Affairs Stuart Johnson extends congratulations to Nicole Baummer who won the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta Contest that includes a one-week stay at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort and two VIP tickets for the legendary Sunday party and two Saturday tickets on the VIP spectator boat to witness the extreme racing.

According to the organizers of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta organizers, this will be the third regatta event that Baummer will be attending.

“Nicole recognizes herself in one of the main goals of the St Maarten Heineken Regatta; promoting the island of St Maarten through its sailing race. ’Once you have visited the island during the Regatta, you want to keep coming back for more, and that is exactly what happened to Nicole. She isn’t able to shake the Regatta Fever,” Regatta Event Manager Sacha van der Wouden was reported to have said in a recent media communique.
“The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta is one of the country’s premier annual calendar events. Baummen as we can see fell in love with the regatta and has been coming back and this will be her third time.

“Destination Sint Maarten has an attraction whereby tourists fall in love and keep returning to the island to make memorable experiences.

“We have had visitors who bought their second home here and keep returning every year. Therefore, let us continue to do what we do best in welcoming our visitors and providing that hospitable ‘Friendly Island’ experience that just keeps them coming back year after year.

“We have a lot to be thankful for what we have been able to achieve. As a nation we continue to rebuild into the new year.

“I take this opportunity to congratulate Nicole Baummen and wish her a wonderful holiday in February when she returns to the island for some serious regatta fun,” Minister of Tourism & Economic Affairs Stuart Johnson said on Monday.
