MJP and HOPE join hands to contest Territorial Council 2nd round, TEAM GIBBS and MVP remains unchanged.

louijules21032017MARIGOT: — The Leader of MJP Loui Mussington has changed his party name to Alliance for Hope, Prosperity, and Justice as he formed a new list with the leader of HOPE Jules Charville. Mussington told SMN News late Tuesday afternoon that he did everything possible to form a list based on the way the people voted and he also wanted to include MVP since they were the third highest vote getter but the leader of MVP did not go along with his proposal because he is leading the list. Mussington who was at the Sous Prefecture just before the 6 pm hour said that he waited all day on Tuesday to those he reached out to and only late Tuesday afternoon he was able to make a final decision.
In the meantime, TEAM GIBBS 2017 has submitted their list early Tuesday morning without any changes.
SMN News also understands that MVP will also contest the election the way they did in the first round, however, leader of the party Alain Richardson could not be reached for a comment.
In the meantime, the MOCSAM has sent out a press release stating that they will not endorse any of the lists that are contesting the second round of the Territorial Election and he will leave it up to his supporters and the people that voted for MOCSAM to vote according to their own conscience.
