PHILIPSBURG:— The United People's Party leader, Member of Parliament the Honourable Omar E.C. Ottley, congratulates all St. Maarten students who recently sat exams. Despite difficulties associated with local developments such as loss of electricity and other issues, MP Ottley said he feels it is especially impressive that the students on St. Maarten, with the help of their parents, were able to sit the Caribbean Examination Council's (CXC) exams and the FBE (Foundation Based Examination) Exit Examination.
With deep admiration for their resilience, MP Ottley says, "Congratulations are in order for all the students who sat the exams and for the students and teachers who throughout the year have been working diligently with our children to prepare them for this next stage of their educational journey."
In a Press release issued Wednesday, MP Ottley urged the students to continue their studies, maintain high-performance standards, and aspire to greatness. "Your success is a testament to your hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Continue to strive for excellence in your educational journey. Remember, this is just the beginning, and with continued effort, you can achieve your ultimate goals," he stated.
MP Ottley took the opportunity to encourage all students in St. Maarten to "Stay in school, seize every opportunity to learn, and give your best effort because the future success of our country will depend on you.”
