PHILIPSBURG: — Leader of the National Alliance Silveria Jacobs now Prime Minister of St. Maarten submitted a full slate of 23 candidates to the Central Voting Bureau on Thursday. It was the second of nine political parties to submit their list to contest the January 9th parliamentary elections.
Jacobs said the National Alliance did not call for this election instead, they were the ones asking for transparency and good governance. Jacobs in her speech said her government not kicked out of office post-Irma at a time when the people were in need.
