Netherlands navy ship Holland visits St. Martin.

PHILIPSBURG:— Friday the 15th of June the Royal Netherlands Navy ship Holland will visit St. Martin. The acting Governor of St. Martin will welcome the ship from Fort Amsterdam.

Traditional salute
At 08:45 AM the patrol vessel will perform a sail past near Fort Amsterdam. The ship will fire the traditional salute to the Flag of The Kingdom of the Netherlands and to the Governor of St. Martin. In absence of the Governor, acting Governor mister Groeneveldt will be attending the ceremony.

Guard Ship

HNLMS Holland is deployed as guard ship for the Royal Netherlands Navy in the Caribbean for counterdrugs operations and to assist the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard. The ship can also be used to provide assistance in case of humanitarian relief operations.

Open House
On the day of arrival and on Sunday 17th the Holland will host an open house for all interested people. From 13:00 till 16:00 you will have the change to visit the ship for a tour on board. HNLMS Holland is moored at the cruise terminal in Philipsburg.
