Dutch Quarter:--- The No Hand Outs movement visited the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Primary School (MLK) on Tuesday morning.
Trent Webster one of the founding members and chairman visited the Group 7 class as a motivational guest.
"This movement is truly inspiring and I am ecstatic Mr. Webster came to our school first," said Stuart Johnson MLK School Manager.
The No Hand Outs movement started after the passage of Hurricane Irma and continues to grow via Facebook.
Mr. Webster said, "The No Handouts team was honored to have visited our first of many schools, during our school tour! We had a great time speaking to and with the students.
Webster added, "The children were full of life and filled with questions! It was a pleasure to encourage them and push them to work hard for whatever they want to achieve in life!
Some students received T-shirts for their active participation which included the newly launched summer T-shirt collection.
"I wish the team of No Hand Outs continued success with their endeavour as they have my personal support," Johnson added.
Students were left with these inspirational words by Mr. Webster, “remember we spend more time out of school than in school, so make proper use of the time in school, so apply yourself and work hard!”
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Primary School is a Public Education School in the district of Dutch Quarter.
