PHILIPSBURG:--- In an effort to reduce the upward trend of car theft on the island, the Sint Maarten Police Force in collaboration with the French Gendarmerie took to the streets on Friday 12th February 2020 to implement the plans discussed in the weeks prior to reduce car theft crimes.
The control which commenced during the early morning hours at approximately 2:00 am was aim towards ensuring that motorists are in possession of the correct and up to date documentation for their vehicle.
