Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset Donates Educational Supplies.

PHILIPSBURG:—Rotary Clubs in St. Martin, US Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Dominica, Antigua, and Barbuda received a generous offer of early childhood education and development supplies from Do Good International-Crayons Count based in the USA. These items were donated to the above-mentioned islands which were affected by hurricanes recently. Through Rotary District 7020’s Disaster Relief Committee, all five Rotary Clubs on St. Martin were given three boxes each to distribute to any institution of their choice who can benefit from the educational supplies.
The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset selected Children’s World, Ebenezer Learning Center and After School Activities/No Kidding with Our Kids Foundation (ASA) to be the recipient organizations of the donated supplies. Children’s World and Ebenezer Learning Center were presented on Wednesday, October 24th and After School Activities/No Kidding with Our Kids Foundation (ASA) was presented on Thursday, October 25th. The supplies included balls, blocks, books, crayons, glue sticks, manipulatives, musical instruments, paint, paintbrushes, construction paper, play dough, puppets, puzzles, scissors and skipping ropes.
Crayons Count provides recommended learning tools for the early childhood age group, which is up to age 8. They also may have an opportunity to provide age appropriate books for children in the 10-14 age group – with themes of resilience, environment etc.

The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset would like to thank Deika Morrison and her team at Do Good International-Crayons Count for their kind contribution and Assistant District Governor, Marcellia Henry, for spearheading this initiative between the five Rotary Clubs on the island.
