PHILIPSBURG:—- Senior Citizens enjoyed a day out at the St. Maarten Festival Village having lunch and playing games.
Thus far some 8 to 10 booth holders have signed up for the program at the Festival Village and are actively serving breakfast and lunch on a daily basis.
More tenants are busy signing up and will be serving breakfast and lunch in the coming weeks as the program progresses.
In the picture, a group of some 50 senior citizens can be seen playing games and enjoying lunch at the Festival Village, last Friday.
Entertainment and steel pan classes are already been provided by DOW Musical Foundation for locals and cruise ship passengers visiting the Festival Village on a daily basis highlighting our Cultural heritage of St. Maarten.
The educational program with Dow Musical Foundation educating our youths with Steel pan will resume in August 2017 when school starts back with the housing of some 750 students with steel pan being part of their educational curriculum from the various schools throughout the Island.
Scheduled events and programs are being planned and will be forthcoming in the coming weeks as we progress.
Interested parties who would like to rent a booth in the Festival Village can visit the office of SOG located in the Festival Village during working hours and register. The price to obtain a single booth is only $650 which includes light and Water.
