PHILIPSBURG:--- Approximately one day after power was restored to the island due to an island wide blackout, NV GEBE technicians and engineers were called to the Power Plant in the early morning of April 25, 2018, for a second island wide outage. The cause of the damage was immediately located. NV GEBE spokesperson stated that one of its larger consumers had a major short circuit on the end of their system. This incident resulted in a short circuit on the Company’s’ grid shutting down the plant at approximately 12:50AM. Engineers immediately began working to repair and restore power to customers. Power was restored to all clients at approximately 3:20 a.m.

NV GEBE apologizes to customers for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and patience during this challenging time.
