SSSD hosting free workshop entitled “Looking Beyond: Helping Your Child With Career Choices” on May 18.

PHILIPSBURG:— The wait is finally over. The workshop “Looking Beyond: Helping Your Child With Career Choices” will be held on May 18th, 2017. This free workshop is organized by the Student Support Services Division (SSSD) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport.

According to SSSD officials, there are various ways for parents to offer support to their child’s future career success and understanding the importance of their influence is the key to his/her success. Parents are often the first role models and first sources of information, they added.

This free workshop aspires to inform parents of secondary school students with tips, strategies, and resources to aid their children in researching careers, exploring career options, and helping them decide on a career choice.

The “Looking Beyond: Helping Your Child With Career Choices” workshop will be held at the SSSD’s office from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Persons interested in attending are urged to contact the SSSD’s office at 54-31235 and reserve a spot as space is limited.
