Exchange of experiences, preparation Ministerial Conference 22 June..

Willemstad:--- On Friday 8 and Saturday 9 June, delegations from the Health Inspectorates of Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten held their second joint conference. In the successful consultations various matters of common interest were discussed. This includes: registration and import of medicines, disclosure policy, pronouncements of legal procedures, the role of the Inspections in disaster response and the cooperation with the Inspectorate in the Netherlands.

The three Inspectors General (Dorylee Pappers-Lopez Penha of Aruba, Earl Best of Sint Maarten and Jan Huurman of Curaçao) will this week lay down the most important common positions in a letter to the Ministers of Health of the four countries in the Kingdom. In that letter also a number of requests to strengthen cooperation, also with the Netherlands. The four Ministers will be on Curaçao on 22 June for a coordinating meeting.

Uitwisseling van ervaringen, voorbereiding Ministersconferentie 22 juni a.s.

Op vrijdag 8 en zaterdag 9 juni jl. hebben delegaties van de Inspecties Volksgezondheid van Curaçao, Aruba en Sint Maarten hun tweede gezamenlijke conferentie gehouden. In het succesvolle overleg kwamen diverse zaken van gemeenschappelijk belang aan de orde. Daaronder: registratie en import van geneesmiddelen, openbaarmakingsbeleid, uitspraken van juridische procedures, de rol van de Inspecties bij rampenbestrijding en de samenwerking met de Inspectie in Nederland.

De drie Inspecteurs-generaal (Dorylee Pappers-Lopez Penha van Aruba, Earl Best van Sint Maarten en Jan Huurman van Curaçao) zullen deze week in een brief aan de Ministers van Volksgezondheid van de vier landen in het Koninkrijk de belangrijkste gezamenlijke standpunten neerleggen. In die brief ook een aantal verzoeken om de samenwerking, ook met Nederland, te versterken. De vier Ministers zijn op 22 juni a.s. op Curaçao voor een afstemmend overleg.
