PHILIPSBURG:--- The Special Unit Robbery is presently investigating an armed robbery which took place on Wednesday, March 1st at approximately 02.55 p.m. at Hong Kong Supermarket located opposite the UTS building on the Cannegieter Street in Philipsburg. According to reports an unknown man dressed in dark colored clothing with his face partially entered the establishment and held up the cashier with a gun. The suspect went on to steal an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register and then fled the scene on foot in the direction of the Back street. Several police patrols were sent to search the area for the suspect but they were not successful in locating him.
