Suspect arrested on drugs and weapon charges.

PHILIPSBURG:— On Tuesday, February 26th at approximately 10.30 p.m. a police patrol carrying out a routine control in Cape Bay area saw three unknown men standing in front of a bar. One of the men started behaving quite suspicious when he realized that the patrol was in the area. This man became increasingly suspicious by pulling and tugging at something hidden under his shirt at his waist. The investigating officers decided to approach the suspect to discuss his suspicious behavior. The suspect could not give the officers an acceptable explanation for his behavior.
During further investigation, the officers found a loaded handgun and several small plastic bags each containing a small amount of marijuana and cocaine. The firearm and drugs were confiscated for further investigation. The suspect was arrested on the spot and then taken the Philipsburg Police Head Quarters where he remains for further investigation.
