Pond Island:--- St. Maarten basketballers are getting an early jump on TelCell’s September 1 launch of its brand new 4G-LTE mobile data network by sporting the company’s branding logo and colours this week.

Members of the St. Maarten Basketball Federation (SMBF) donned their TelCell 4G-LTE Jerseys Sunday, shortly before leaving the island for Antigua where they are competing in the Leeward Islands (LIBA) basketball tournament. They were also presented with a cash donation towards tickets for the trip.

This is the second year that St.Maarten Basketball will be taking part in the Antigua contest, but this year SMBF will be one step closer to participation in the Central American and Caribbean games in 2018.

TelEm Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Kendall Dupersoy, a basketball player and fan himself, wished the team well and a safe trip back at the end of the tournament, August 28.

SMBF in collaboration with the Dreams to Reality Foundation has meantime thanked Mr. Dupersoy and TelEm Group for their kind donation and support in the body’s sporting endeavours.
