Pond Island:---  The TelEm Group Hurricane Committee and TelEm Group managers met Monday morning to finalize ongoing hurricane preparedness plans and also to provide information for personnel.
A decision has been taken to close all TelEm Group offices and locations as of 5:00 pm Monday, September 4th, 2017, and all day Tuesday, to allow personnel to make final preparations and to be in their homes for the passing of Hurricane Irma. Personnel was further advised to monitor the government radio station (107.9 FM), all radio stations and social media for further instructions on return to the workplace.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Kendall Dupersoy informed Monday’s meeting that there are all indications that Hurricane Irma will be packing some dangerous and fierce winds and personnel should take no chances, stressing that they should remain in their homes and not venture out to deal with company matters unless given the all-clear from their manager or director.

TelEm Group personnel are advised to monitor their radio stations and online media for updates and also to listen regularly to the government radio station 107.9 FM for official information about Hurricane Irma and other public and community service information.
